For this project, I wanted to design my first enamel pin!

I decided I wanted it to be a farmers market themed for the Jaffray Baynes Lake farmers market I attended all summer 2022. So many fruit and veggie sellers around, I wanted to fit in a bit!

When it comes to outsourcing your items for manufacturing, Manufacturers must either take every liberty with your designs when you are missing information they need, or they will need to keep coming back to you with questions, therefore delaying your wait time even longer!

Things such as where to put the spikes on the back of the pin, if you want a back logo, what font and size it would be, and even how many links of chain you’d like used for your pin ALL matter within the blueprint. Those choices can all be predetermined with an educated artists help, feel prepared to send blueprints for items with all of the components illustrated in this fashion.

I went with the classic carrot colour palette with silver-coloured plating. I also wanted a little funny banner hanging off the bottom of the carrot with a little saying. so I opted for the same plating, and attached it with three chain links on each side. The words and the face details tend to get printed on after the enamel painting is complete. There are lots of different enamel and plating colours, the possibilities are endless!
