I tasked myself with creating a spring-themed postcard set to spread some positivity after such a hard year we all had in 2020. I wanted the characters to look cute but also a little messy, because I wanted them to make you feel comfortable, like we can still be cute even on our own messy days! So I freehanded these designs without a sketch to keep the rough feeling to them.

I used Posca paint pens, and Sharpie on cardstock to make these designs. BUT, These traditional illustrations, when scanned digitally, can be used to make merch just as if they were a digital piece of artwork. (as long as you’re not trying to go too much bigger than the original. If you are, you need your design vectorized!)

I made all three designs into a sticker pack easily, and also made the frog (my favorite) into an iron-on patch for my website!
