This Acrylic painting was inspired by the two people who came together to create me! I wanted to make them something special for their anniversary so I decided to paint them a portrait!

This particular portrait is very special to me, as this is the age I will always remember my parents. This is the age they were when we made the memories from my childhood that hold the most space within my brain. I also took the reference photo I used to make it when I was a kid!

I aimed to make the background mimic that of the original reference while also adding a sort of “haze” to the background by not over-detailing any of it, allowing the characters to really pop and become the main focal point of the piece!

I had so much fun with this piece, and I was 100% sure to wow these clients no matter what I made them, for they are my biggest supporters and have guided me to where I am today! But nonetheless, I still put more than a month’s worth of work into this! I really believe I was able to capture their personalities and the flow of happy emotions within this piece. Even when creating for clients I know, I will never stop putting my best work out there!
